| Eden’s Pleasure Coffee Time Romance Reviewer: Wateena Rating: 4 Cups An excellent historical tale filled with plenty of secrets and hidden desires. Ms. Pearce certainly spiced things up with the second twin, Gideon, and made this story even more interesting with Gideon’s own sad personal tale. Plenty of action and erotic romance to keep you enthralled to the end. This is definitely a historical lover’s delight. Love Romances Reviewer: Tara Rating: 4 Hearts EDEN’S PLEASURE would be erotica at its finest except that it is, in fact, erotic romance. Eden’s exploits reminded me of Robin Schone’s work, but with a less distant, controlled feel to the sexuality. EDEN’S PLEASURE would’ve been a perfect erotic romance had it been more elaborate when it came to Eden and Gervase’s relationship. While there were obvious, deftly written signs as to why they felt so intensely about each other, it still seemed a case of lust over love. Ms. Pearce is fully capable of producing work that will top this excellent story. The writing itself was finely tuned, giving the story a rich Regency feel, while the erotic elements were intense and exciting. Eden was a fully fleshed-out and incredibly practical character. There were no temper tantrums or grandiose schemes from this heroine. She understood her options altogether too well. Eden and Gervase’s shared intimacy had had both sensual sparks and emotional depth suited to the situations and the overall story arc. EDEN’S PLEASURE is an exceptional erotic romance destined for another read Just Erotic Romance Reviews Reviewer: Francesca Hayne Rating: 5 Stars After eight years in a horrendous marriage, Eden is ready to experience a little pleasurable freedom. After having been caught in a compromising situation with Gervase Harcourt, she’s ready to explore her deepest desires. When Gideon crosses her path to make amends for his part in her disastrous marriage, he promises to teach her the joys of passion. But once Gervase enters the picture, the fantasy of erotic, no strings attached exploration becomes difficult to live with when faced with the reality of her love for him. This book truly moved me, making me feel an instant connection to the characters and leaving me empowered by the story. I really enjoyed the no-nonsense attitude Eden displays, as well as the compounding emotional turmoil that the situation creates. Any story that can drain me emotionally as well as sexually is rare indeed, and Eden’s Pleasure does both. Gervase has a challenging personality that I can’t help but feel an attraction to. He knows what he wants and doesn’t fail to take what he needs. This take-charge attitude is both desirable and shocking, not to mention devilishly sexy. There isn’t a moment in this whole novel that I didn’t sense a romantic and loving connection between the characters. They do things together to showcase their love, making their joy seem real. But the sex! Cool me down with a cold shower because these sex scenes are scorching hot. There is a bit of everything here, from sex toys to voyeurism and even a bit of ménage, and the story never slows or becomes dull. Overall, I greatly enjoyed Eden’s Pleasure and will be placing Ms. Pearce on my auto buy list. Ecataromance.com Reviewer: Candy Rating: 5 Stars As a young woman, Eden was forced into a loveless marriage when she was found enjoying the sexual charms of twins Gervase and Gideon Harcourt. Now her husband is dead and she plans to enjoy her freedom while it lasts by exploring her sexual desires. Falling from her horse, she comes face-to-face with Gideon Harcourt again. Sorry for being the reason why she was forced into marriage, Gideon Harcourt promises to make amends. All Eden wants is to fulfill her sexual fantasies and Gideon and Gervase Harcourt are going to help her explore her sexuality. She always loved the twins but is she just a plaything for them? Gideon and Gervase Harcourt introduce Eden to Madam Desiree's House of Pleasure. At Madam Desiree's, Eden explores all the forbidden pleasures available to her. As time passes, Eden finds herself drawn more to one brother over the other. However, there can be no future for her with either of them. Their father is determined to make sure she is removed from their lives forever by making sure she is re-married. She must come to terms with a future without passion. Kate Pearce takes Eden on a whirlwind introduction into the sexual pleasures available to her. She also addresses the repression women were forced to live under. Gideon and Gervase are sexy individually, but together these men can ignite an inferno in any woman's body. The scenes at Madam Desiree's are sizzling. The reader will wonder why the pages of the book do not burst into flames. I would love to read more stories where the characters visit this hot pleasure palace. I am looking forward to reading more of Ms. Pearce's books. Novelspot Reviewer: Marissa Rating: 6 I've never been a fan of historical romances of any kind. Maybe I'm too ‘twenty-first century,' but I could never understand how a woman could be property: she was 'seen and not heard' until such a time that her guardians could marry her off to someone of social standing. That being said, Eden's Pleasure was a wonderful shock to my biased system. It did put the woman in a position where she doesn't have full control of her life, but at least she has some say in what happens to her. As well as with whom it happens! Eden, after spending her eighteenth summer in sensual entanglements with the delicious Harcourt twins, is married off to a much older man. Eight years of hell follow where she is forced to bed her husband in his last ditch attempt to conceive a legitimate heir before his death. Widowed and childless at twenty-six, Eden is looking forward to exploring the side of herself she discovered in the arms of the Harcourt twins. As luck would have it, they're looking forward to reliving their memories with her as well. Gideon and Gervase Harcourt have always lived in luxury, and now that they're grown, things haven't changed much. As boys they shared their maids, taking women together and separately. But their experience with Eden was different; she made them feel something other than physical pleasure. For eight years, Gervase, now a major in England's military, dreams of being with Eden again. When Gideon tells him that Eden is staying at his London house, Gervase rushes to claim the woman who refuses to get out of his head, or his heart. The past hangs around them like a ghost and the news of Eden's impending marriage to an as yet unknown suitor shadows their time together. Old hurts are ripped open while new ones are inflicted. Can these two headstrong lovers see past their own agendas and find what is waiting for them or will they be denied yet again? Ms. Pearce's tale has changed my staunch view of regency romance, which says a lot. It's a sweet story of two people who, despite their ages, still haven't grown into what they could be. In the brilliance of their reunion, they realize just how much they could have together if they let the past go and grasp the future with both hands. Fallen Angels Reviews Reviewer: Serena Rating: 4 Angels After being caught in a compromising position with the Harcourt twins, Gideon and Gervase, Eden was quietly married off to a man old enough to be her grandfather. Now that he’s dead and she’s out from under the iron thumb of her stepsister, Eden hopes to find some peace, or barring that at least some pleasure. When she is thrown by her horse and Gideon Harcourt finds her, Eden’s life is about to change again. His brother Gervase has never forgiven her for running off with a richer man, or so his father tells it. Eden had spent years in hell all because of these two men; can she forgive them and give them all a sense of completion? This was a fascinating look into Regency England that was refreshingly clean. There have been a number of pulp novels about this time period that are trashy porn, but this one was amazing. I really enjoyed Ms. Pearce’s sensitivity in making this book an emotional story as well as extremely erotic. The different subplots in this tale made it surprisingly intricate for an eighty-eight page book. If she continues to write with such talent, I may have to revisit this time period again. Joyfully Reviewed.com Reviewer: Talia Ricci Widowed after eight extremely long years, Eden is finally free to be herself and indulge in sexual escapades forbidden when married to her elderly husband. Who does she turn to but the men who were her downfall eight years ago? Gideon and Gervaise Harcourt have one weakness and her name is Eden. Caught in a state of undress eight years ago, they are the reason she was forced into matrimony with an older man in order to save her reputation. Now, however, she doesn't care about her reputation. She wants to explore her sexuality in ways not accepted in polite circles. Who better to show her than the Harcourt twins? This is a novel of awakenings for all three main characters. I thought Eden quite bold, sexy, and brave; especially during this time frame in history when reputations meant everything. Of the twins, Gervaise is the one I love the most. He reinforced my view that love can conquer all. His twin, Gideon, made me shiver with his dark desires and illicitness. I usually shy away from books written in first person. I am happy to say that Eden's Pleasure held me hostage from the first moment I picked it up until I read the very last word. It has all the elements needed to keep my attention and the sex scenes were extremely well-written. I look forward to reading more from Ms. Pearce! |
